Why we built MustSkills.
Not from a vague conviction that education needs fixing — but from a specific observation: CBSE has mandated life skills education, and most schools lack the tools to deliver it properly.
Our mission is to help schools deliver CBSE-aligned life-skills education through safe, practical, and age-appropriate programs that develop mental wellbeing, financial literacy, digital responsibility, communication skills, health awareness, and career readiness — without disrupting academics.
Vision: To build a generation of emotionally strong, ethically grounded, and future-ready students by integrating real-life skills into mainstream school education across India.
The founding observation.
In 2023, CBSE issued Circular Skill-01/2023 — a formal directive requiring schools to integrate skill education modules into Classes VI through X. The circular was specific: module codes, internal assessment, year-long delivery. It was not a suggestion. It was a mandate.
What followed was a familiar gap: the mandate existed on paper, but the infrastructure to deliver it did not. Schools were expected to teach topics like financial literacy, digital safety, mental wellbeing, and legal rights — but with which teachers? Which curriculum? Which assessment framework? Which documentation for CBSE reviews?
Most schools fell back on what was available: one-off workshops, enrichment activities, or simply not implementing the mandate at all. Parents asked questions. Principals wanted answers they didn't have.
The response.
MustSkills was built to close this gap — completely and systematically. Not with another enrichment program, but with what schools actually need: a year-long, structured academic program taught by qualified professionals, with every element mapped to the CBSE circular, documented for compliance, and managed end-to-end.
The team behind MustSkills includes educators, licensed professionals across the six domains, and school operations specialists. The founding principle was simple: if we're asking schools to trust us with their students, we must show up with the right credentials, the right documentation, and zero additional burden on school staff.
We are starting in Bangalore with a limited pilot cohort for the 2025–26 academic year. Each pilot partnership is closely supported — we work with school management directly, refine delivery based on feedback, and treat these schools as founding partners in what we are building.
The people who deliver this.
MustSkills is built around six domain professionals who form the core of what we deliver. They are not advisors or consultants — they are the educators who stand in front of your students, week after week, all year.
Brings clinical depth to age-appropriate health education. All sessions awareness-based only.
Evidence-based psychoeducation for adolescents. No counselling or therapy of any kind.
Legal accuracy without legal advice. Constitutional awareness, consumer rights, civic responsibility.
Real-world financial literacy from a practising CA. No personal financial advice given.
Current-practice digital literacy and AI awareness. No technical support or software training.
Structured communication and leadership development grounded in management practice.
Three principles that guide every decision.
Every claim we make maps to a CBSE module code, a professional credential, or a documented outcome. We do not use vague language about student transformation. We map everything to something verifiable.
All content is awareness-based. No therapy. No clinical intervention. No medical or legal advice. Age-appropriate at every step. Every session is reviewed against CBSE Skill Education guidelines before delivery.
We reduce burden on schools. We never create it. Every process — curriculum delivery, documentation, communications — is designed so that school staff have nothing extra to manage. We arrive prepared. We leave no paperwork for you.
